Central Frontenac’s is located on the edge of the Canadian Shield. A transition from fertile farmland in the south to rocky mining areas in the north, and its historical location on highways and railways traveling between the capital of Ottawa and the Golden Horseshoe made it an early trade hub which has remained a central connection point over the years.
